Missouri Hall is a terrific place to start your college career. There are tons of ways to get involved and make your mark on campus. You should consider how you want to shape the Missouri Hall legacy.
Run for the Missouri Hall Senate
The Hall Senate is the official student governing body for Missouri Hall. All positions are elected in the fall, so anyone, even freshmen, can serve as house representatives, officers, and RHA delegates. The Hall Senate is in charge of advocating for residents, passing policy recommendations, and planning events for everyone in Missouri Hall. You should run! To learn more about how to run and what the Missouri Hall Senate does, visit their website.
Join the MO Hall Tour Crew
Part of being a member of the Missouri Hall community is
welcoming in a new class each year. Our MO Hall Tour Crew is on hand to
serve as ambassadors to perspective students. On each of the five large
Saturday visit days, members of the Tour Crew show perspective students around
and share with them what the Missouri Hall experience is all about. Many
members of the Tour Crew go on the next year to work as Truman Student
Ambassadors for Admissions Department.
Apply to be a Student Advisor
Our Student Advisors lead their communities and help foster the overall Missouri Hall experience. Student Advisors are upperclass students that have gone through intensive training to prepare them for the year. They are in charge of their house community, work closely with their residents, and are available for policy and crisis matters. In return they receive a discount on their room and board fees. SAs really enjoy their positions and find it a great place to develop a diverse set of job skills. Applications for these positions are posted in late November, and hiring happens in late February. The jobs will be posted on the Residence Life jobs page. Check back there for more information on the SA positions when they become available.
