As the Interim  Director, John is responsible for the overall operations of the Office of Residence Life.  With new programming opportunities, improvements to our facilities, and exciting new learning opportunities all throughout campus for our residents, John is looking forward to a great year in the residence halls. 

As Assistant Director of Residence Life, Emily shares with John in overseeing the entire Office of Residence Life.  Emily supervises the Hall Directors for Centennial, Dobson Hall, BNB Hall, Randolph Apts., and Fair Apts. Emily is entering her seventh year working professionally in ResLife.  Emily is a Kansas City native and loves programming and working with student advisors.

Laurie is very knowledgeable with all our processes and procedures. Either she or one of our student workers will be the first to greet you at the door or welcome you on the phone. If Laurie does not have the answer she is quick to find it or redirect your questions.

As Housing Coordinator, Mike is responsible for the Residence Hall placement for all of Truman State's residents and also takes care of any billing that is associated with the Residence Life Department.  If you have any questions about housing placement or a charge on your bill, Mike will be happy to help.

Hannah, originally from Boone, Iowa, is in her first year working at Truman State.  Hannah has previous experience as a Hall Director and has been involved in the residence life field for the past four years.  Hannah’s pastimes include spending time with her husband and dog, hanging out with the ResLife Staff, interior design, and scrapbooking.  

After spending the last eight years at Northern Illinois University, William has joined the Truman team as the new Hall Director for Centennial Hall.  Originally from the Chicago land area, this is his first time living outside of Illinois.  His hobbies include playing video/ board games, reading, listening to music, sports such as racquetball, Frisbee golf, tae kwon do, softball, and most importantly spending quality time with family, friends, and colleagues.  William is very excited about the upcoming 2009-10 school year and cannot wait to become involved with the Truman/ Kirksville community!

This is Nick’s third year being involved with Residence Life at Truman. The previous two years were spent as a Student Advisor in Ryle hall. Currently, Nick is the Community Coordinator of Centennial Hall where he will be supervising the hall desk and Student Advisor programming.  Nick is really excited to be working with a new Hall Director, William Nelsen, in a new building this year.

Zac originates from Kansas City, MO, but really at this point is more of a Kirksville native as he nears completion of his tenth year at Truman. As a seventh-year  hall director for Missouri  Hall, he is a great point of first contact with questions regarding issues or concerns that you might have as a resident or a parent of a resident within his building.

Danielle is a senior Accounting/Pre-MAE major from Jefferson City, Mo. She will be in her fourth hall in four years at Truman! After starting as a freshman in Centennial, Danielle worked as an SA in both Dobson and BNB before making the move this year to MO! She is very excited to experience the Missouri community.  In what little free time she has, Danielle trains for marathons, enjoys spending time with friends and STAFF!

This is Craig’s third year being involved with Residence Life at Truman. He previously worked as a Student Advisor in Missouri Hall and is very excited to get an opportunity to work with one of the closest communities on campus. As the Community Coordinator for Ezra C. Grim Hall and the Campbell apartments, he will be working with programming and hall desk supervision for both buildings, and gets the privilege to work as the only HD/CC trio with Jeremy Mapp and Liz Raine.

This is Jeremy’s third year as a student staff member within Student Affairs at Truman. He has spent time as a student advisor in Dobson and BNB Hall and a semester as an Intern with Multicultural Affairs. He is very excited to be returning to Ryle Hall, where he spent his freshman year. As the Community Coordinator for Ryle Hall, he will be working with programming and hall desk supervision, and gets the privilege to work as the only HD/CC trio with Liz and Craig.

As the Hall Director for Ryle and Grim Hall, and Campbell Apartments, Liz facilitates the operation of daily life and living for students in these buildings, including developing and working with staff and students.  Liz works to ensure that these facilities, which Truman students call home, are meeting the needs of their residents by working with building maintenance, hall desk support staff, student staff members, and other entities across campus.  Liz is a Truman graduate and this is her sixth year of working with the Residence Life department; this is Liz’s third year as a professional staff member.   Liz is finishing a Masters program for Public Health and, in her free time, she enjoys baking, playing recreational sports, travelling, reading, and hanging out with friends.

Justin is in his third year as a Hall Director at Truman. He graduated from Western Oregon University in 2007 and has more than 6 years of Residence Life experience. Justin enjoys tie-dyeing, Frisbee, listening to music and is taking up the guitar. Justin hopes to one day own a Volkswagen Samba Bus and live on the West Coast. Coming from Grim and the Apartments the last two years, Justin is excited to work with the Students and Staff of West Campus Suites!

Adam will be entering his third year working for Residence Life and previously served as a Student Advisor for two years in Ryle Hall.  In his free time, Adam enjoys working out, and playing tennis, and can’t wait for a great year in West Campus Suites! 

Andy Albrecht, originally from La Crescent, MN, is in his first year working here at Truman. He is the Hall Director for Dobson Hall and Fair and Randolph Apartments. He has been involved with residence life for four years before starting here at Truman. In his free time Andy enjoys being outside, playing with his puppy, and singing.

Claire is a senior Romance Language major and is entering her third year with Residence Life.  Claire has worked in Centennial Hall, Ryle Hall, and now has the privilege of joining Andy Albrecht in supervising the Dobson, Fair, and Randolph staff.  Claire is excited about the opportunity to open a new building and looks forward to the community amongst Dobson, Fair, and Randolph Residents.  Claire enjoys playing cards, baking Funfetti cookies, and dancing.
