Week-Long Break
Resident Safety & Security Policy

Signup Deadline: Friday, Feb. 26 at 5pm

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 20-29, 2009
Midterm Break: March 5-14, 2010

• Staffing:
  > During each break there will be one Professional Staff member on duty
  > Each building that has a resident residing in it will have one student staff member

• Registration:
  > Only current on-campus residents may register to stay over breaks
  > Residents of the Apartments are not required to sign up
  > Residents must do so AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE.
  > Residents will be a back door key or access through their perimeter access card.
  > Depending on staff coverage, a resident may be asked to move to a vacant room temporarily for the break.

• Rates:
  > Residents will be charged $25 per night on campus or $150 for the entire break.
  > A $50 breakage fee will be charged to any resident cancelling less than one week prior to the break.
  > A $50 late registration fee will be charged to any resident that signs up after the registration deadline.

• Policies
  > All residents staying over breaks must follow all RESIDENCE LIFE and UNIVERSITY STUDENT CONDUCT CODE policies.
  > Any policy violations committed during break periods will be processed through the University conduct policy.
  > Residents who break policies over breaks may lose the opportunity to stay on campus for future breaks.
