As the Residence Life Staff, we are committed to working with students in their initial transition to campus and throughout their upperclassmen years to make their on-campus living experiences memorable and filled with valuable learning opportunities. Our mission states:

Director of Residence Life
As the Director, John is responsible for the overall operations of Residence Life at Truman. John’s interests are in diversity, technology, and student leadership. This year will be a great one for Truman ResLife and all of our residents. Please be sure to contact our office if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
Coordinator for Residence Life
Madeline attended Truman for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees and now refuses to leave. Previously she worked as a counselor at University Counseling Services and at the local women’s shelter; Madeline is very excited to be part of the Residence Life team and is looking forward to a fun year. Beyond her working at Truman Madeline also works with a number of student organizations including Alpha Gamma Delta (a social sorority) and Stitch n Bitch (a fiber arts group). Madeline enjoys hanging out with her giant dogs, picking dog fur off of her clothes, knitting and being awesome.
Coordinator for Residence Life
Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, this year will be William's fourth year at Truman State University. As the Coordinator for Residence Life, William oversees the maintenance of the residential facilities, developing departmental processes, and finding ways to integrate new technologies into the department. In addition to spending quality time with friends and colleagues, William has a great passion for life-long learning.
Laurie is very knowledgeable with all our processes and procedures. Either she or one of our student workers will be the first to greet you at the door or welcome you on the phone. If Laurie does not have the answer she is quick to find it or redirect your questions.
Gretchen is excited to be starting her first year with Truman as the ID Coordinator. In this position she is responsible for the University ID Card system and general support of Residence Life. Gretchen is originally from Central Wisconsin, but has been residing in Missouri for the last 15 years. Gretchen enjoys camping and travelling with her family and occasionally adding to their collection of rescued dogs.
Blanton-Nason-Brewer Hall Director
Adam leaves the land of never ending cornfields, Iowa, to start his first at Truman. Adam came to Truman with bookcases full of graphic novels, a plethora of board games and a bunch of crazy ideas on how make this an amazing year in BNB. A self proclaimed geek whose goals in life are to live a life full of adventure and be positive impact on his community. The essential information you must know about Adam is he is hardcore Survivor fan, is a husband to his beautiful wife Kelsey and is the proud father to his little girl Alice.
Blanton-Nason-Brewer Hall Community Coordinator
This year will mark Lucas’ fifth year at Truman, and his fourth with Residence life. Previously Lucas was a student advisor for two years, and last year was a Community Coordinator for West Campus. Lucas has his undergraduate degree in accounting and business Administration: Management. Lucas is currently working towards his Masters in Accountancy. Lucas enjoys spending time with his friends and coworkers, and is very excited to be working in BNB this year, and work with that community.
Centennial Hall Director
Originally a Colorado native, Megan is super excited to start her first year at Truman as the Centennial Hall Director. Megan completed her undergraduate work in Psychology with minors in English and Spanish at Missouri Baptist University. Megan enjoys baking, going on adventures, and spending time with her family and friends. She is very excited for her first in C-Hall. Go Bananas!

Dobson Hall Director
An Overland Park, KS, native, Drew is pumped about starting his second year with Truman ResLife. Drew completed his undergraduate work at Emporia State University and obtained his masters in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University and enjoys theatre, reading, and traveling the United States. Drew is looking forward to a second year living and working with the residents of Dobson Hall!
Dobson Hall Community Coordinator
This will be Aubrey's third year with the Residence Life and fourth year at Truman. As the Community Coordinator for Dobson Hall, Aubrey will work closely with fellow staff members to help ensure a safe and comfortable environment in which residents can grow. Aubrey will graduate from Truman in May with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. Aside from work in Residence Life, Aubrey is President of a student organization and does research on campus. Aubrey enjoys laughing and relaxing with friends and family.
Grim and Apartments
Graduate Community Director
This marks Talor’s fourth year with the Residence Life, after having previously served as a Dobson Student Advisor and Centennial Community Coordinator. As the Graduate Community Director for Grim Hall and four apartment buildings, Talor oversees day to day building processes, resident and facilities concerns, manages both the Grim and Campbell hall desks and directly supervises 8 staff members. Talor graduated from Truman last May with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Justice Systems. She is currently pursuing her Masters in the Art of Education and hopes to one day teach in an upper elementary classroom. Aside from her work in Residence Life, Talor is an active dancer in The Society for Dance Arts, serves as Secretary/Treasurer for the on-campus Educator’s Book Club and is a member of the National Education Association.
Missouri Hall Director
Originally from Kansas City, Zac moved to Kirksville to attend Truman for both bachelors and masters level studies. He stayed on after graduating and has been working at Missouri Hall for the last decade. He enjoys his time with the residents of MO Hall and works hard to continue the hall’s rich legacy. He was privileged to be a part of the 2006-2007 renovation and appreciates all the positive changes for everyone living in the building. Zac is passionate about local history and gives tours about Truman’s fun and often quirky past. He loves to go cycling off campus and finding good hiking trails in the nearby nature areas.
Missouri Hall Community Coordinator
This will be Kyler’s fourth year at Truman and third year with Residence Life. Kyler is a senior Biology major who is pre-med and has a Computer Science minor. As the Missouri Hall community coordinator, Kyler oversees the Missouri Hall student advisors and assists them with their programs, door decorations, bulletin boards, and other aspects of their job. Kyler also is in charge of the Missouri Hall desk. Outside of Residence Life, Kyler is an executive member of Resident Hall Association.
Ryle Hall Director
Hailing from the cotton fields of rural Southeast Missouri, Catie now calls Truman home. Catie completed her undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance at Truman and is currently pursuing her Master of Accountancy degree. She enjoys cooking, taking walks with her dog, Rosie, and a good cup of tea. Catie is excited for another year in Ryle Hall!
Ryle Hall Community Coordinator
Originally from Taylorville, IL, this year will be Dani’s fourth year at Truman State University. Dani is a senior Exercise Science major with hopes of entering an accelerated nursing program in the St. Louis area upon graduation. As the Community Coordinator for Ryle Hall, Dani manages the Hall Desk and works closely with the Ryle Hall Student Advisors. Dani oversees the Student Advisor’s programs, bulletin boards, door decorations, and duty rotations.
West Campus Suites
West Campus Suites Hall Director
Allie begins her third year at Truman with a whole lot of enthusiasm and a passion for student development. She likes to fill her life with service oriented activities, reading, rollerblading, and spending time with people. Allie also believes strongly in the power of one person to change the world and strives to empower every student to do just that.
Allie grew up in Oregon and has visited many places including Venezuela, Nicaragua, Spain and Ukraine. Currently, she feels excited to call the Midwest her home for the next several years and work with amazing Truman students, faculty and staff. Allie is married to her best friend, Zach Esperanza, who is completing a nursing degree at Truman.
West Campus Suites Community Coordinator
Lena recently graduated with her undergrad and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Elementary Education. This will be her third year working in ResLife and she's excited about getting to know all the wonderful West Campus residents as the West Campus Suites Community Coordinator.
