A Note from the Director
Hello future Bulldog! I am very excited that you are considering Truman for your collegiate experience. Truman offers world class academics, but the collegiate experience is so much more than just academics and so is Truman. We have fantastic student organizations, service opportunities, and, of course, an outstanding residential experience. In the residence halls, we complement the classroom experience with great out of the classroom learning, a wonderful place to live, and a lot of fun! With almost half of Truman's student population living in the residence halls, there are always many great options for activities. Almost every night there is a an event of some kind in the residence halls. From the College Cup during Truman Days to Squirrel Fest to the Tunnel of Oppression, there is always something to challenge you, to bring you together with your neighbors, and to just enjoy with your friends. We offer suite style (Shared bathrooms between two rooms) and traditional style (Community restrooms) residence halls. When you return to live on campus for your sophomore, junior and senior years, we have terrific apartment options, if you want something different. To learn more about our great halls, click on the links at the bottom of this page. More than 2/3 of our bed spaces on campus are new or have been renovated in the past five years. We have the highest speed internet, cable TV in every room, and a ton of other amenities to make living in the residence halls a great experience. Ping pong, pool, and cards are every night activities with all of the great equipment we have to check out from our front desks. There is literally ALWAYS something to do. Besides our amazing residents, the heart and soul of every hall is the staff in the buildings. Residence Life employs more than 85 Student Advisors across campus who will make your on-campus living experience amazing. These are students who are trained to help with your transition to college.
